OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Illinois Tech men's cross country team received a weekly honor on Tuesday. Cole Dammeier was named Men's Cross Country Player of the Week by the Association of Division III Independents for his performance at the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invite on Saturday.
Dammeier finished in 15th place out of 150 runners in the Saturday 8k race. The junior posted a time of 27:49.59, one of the top marks of his career.
The Scarlet Hawks will race next at the Benedictine University Eagle Invite on Friday at 4:45 p.m. at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Illinois.
