CHICAGO, Ill. – Last week, the Illinois Tech men's basketball team was selected to participate in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships for the second straight year, qualifying as the eight-team tournament's fourth-seed. The Scarlet Hawks will be heading to Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania on Tuesday for the tournament, which will take place from Wednesday through Saturday.
Below is information on all aspects on this week's events.
FULL SCARLET HAWK SCHEDULE (a PDF of the full tournament schedule and bracket can be found here)
The Scarlet Hawks will play on Wednesday, February 28 at 4:00 p.m. eastern (3:00 p.m. central) in Penn State-Fayette's Main Gym against fifth-seeded Rochester College. A win would put the Scarlet Hawks in a winner's bracket contest on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. eastern (7:00 p.m. central) in the Main Gym, while a loss put them in a consolation game on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. (10:15 a.m. central) in the campus' Maltho Center. If the Scarlet Hawks win on both Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening, Tech will advance to the USCAA National Championship on Saturday in the Main Gym.
