Chicago, IL- Tech Men's Basketball hosted Maranatha Baptist University at Keating Sports Center in an exciting matchup. Sophomore Forward Samuel Rarick had another spectacular night for the Hawks leading all scorers and rebounders with 37 points and 10 rebounds.
The first half started with both teams exchanging baskets, exchanging leads, and with Rarick displaying his wide array of offensive moves. Rarick finished the first half with 13 points but the Hawks were outscored 36-20 as the horn went off.
Coming out of the locker room with a 16 point deficit, Tech was eager to cut into Maranatha's lead. Rarick displayed a herculean effort in the second half scoring 24 points; 24 of the Hawks 30 total points in the half. Unfortunately, Tech failed to slow down Maranatha's offense and were outscored 36-30 in the half en route to the 72-50 loss.
