I believe that a nationally competitive cross-country
program and a world-renowned undergraduate education are not mutually exclusive
entities. My coaching philosophy emphasizes the full development of the student
athlete during their years at Illinois Tech. That is, our athletes grow and achieve
success in the classroom and as individuals in addition to competing for the
Scarlet Hawks. Illinois Tech runners demonstrate hard work and good time
management in the classroom and while competing. Nothing else is acceptable. In
an effort to continue the full athletic development of our student athletes we
have established and continue to grow the IIT track club
The individual results speak for themselves. Our program
gives the student athlete an opportunity to contribute from the first day they
set their foot on campus. We want our runners to be a vital part of our team,
campus and our community immediately, not just as juniors and seniors.
Among the conference elite teams, the women's cross country team's recent
success includes numerous individual personal records, school records, Academic
All-Americans, All-Conference runners, individual National Championship
qualifiers, and multiple team titles.
I look forward to helping you explore Illinois Tech and become a member of the
championship culture that is Scarlet Hawk Women's cross country.
