Andrew Mehr is returning to the Scarlet Hawks as an assistant coach after completing his four-year collegiate career with IIT in the spring of 2009. A ten-time All-American and a National Champion as the anchor of the 2009 Mens 200 yard freestyle relay, Mehr is a current school record holder in all five relay events and former record holder in the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle. Mehr brings competitive experience and leadership to the team, and his coaching strengths include dryland workouts and freestyle events.

In May 2009, Mehr graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology, Political Science, and Humanities with a concentration in Communications. Mehr is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Public Administration at IIT and holds an internship with the Village Administrator at the Village of River Forest, a western suburb of Chicago.
