After a successful first season in America, Diego transferred to play his sophomore year at the University of Alabama (NCAA Division II) in Huntsville. In the 06/07 season Diego finished the year as his teams second top goal scorer, with five goals and 2 assists. Playing Style
Diego is a strong, powerful and speedy centre forward with fantastic close control and a lethal left footed shot. His hold up play is exceptional and he is a striker who is more than comfortable receiving the ball with his back to goal. Diego has good vision on the ball and is a confident finisher in front of goal.
