Marc Colwell enters his second season as head soccer coach for the Illinois Institute of Technology women's soccer team. The Scarlet Hawks finished 8-10-1 last season and were 4-6 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Colwell will continue to assist the men's soccer team at IIT. The men finished 14-6 and won the CCAC regular season championship last season.

Colwell, a native of South Bend, Indiana, was assistant women's coach for Saint Mary's College in 2009 and assistant men's soccer and goalkeeper coach Bethel College in 2008. The Pilots advanced to the NAIA National Tournament that season.

Colwell was head coach for both the men's and women's teams at NCAA DIII Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for five seasons. At Lakeland, Colwell guided the women's team to two NCAA Tournament appearances, three conference tournament championships and three regular season conference championships in five seasons.

He holds his USSF "B", NSCAA Advanced National, and UEFA "B" coaching licenses.

Colwell has a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. He recently received his Non-Profit Management Certificate  thru  the Masters of Public Administration from Illinois Tech.
