Jeff Grindel
[Men's Swimming and Diving] - From Richland, WA
Chicago, Ill. - Jeff Grindel signs from Richland, WA (Hanford HS) and will be studying Physics or Computer Engineering in the fall.  His best events are the 100 and 200 Breaststroke, which Coach Bond expects Jeff to qualify for nationals in right away.  As a state finalist his senior year of high school, Jeff has really shown great improvement in his times over the past year.  "I am excited to see how much Jeff can continue to develop and improve.  He had some major time drops this past year and I think we can keep that momentum going with some direct focus on his breaststroke training."  Bond said.  "Jeff could prove to be our diamond in the rough this year."
 
Ian McNair
[Men's Swimming and Diving] - From Palatine, IL
Chicago, Ill. - Ian McNair signs from Palatine, IL (Palatine HS) and will be studying Physics beginning in the fall.  Ian will dive for the Scarlet Hawks and has already shown the ability to score points at the national championships for the team.  He was the sectional champion, which qualified him 16th for the Illinois high school state.  He also won his conference meet and broke the high school record this year en route to team MVP honors.  Coach Nelson is excited to work with Ian and says, "Ian is going to be fun to work with.  His 1 meter diving is strong and Ian is excited to work on the 3 meter board.  His success has come with only 3 seasons of competition.  I can see him being an All American for this team with some hard work."
 
Eric Grunden
[Men's Swimming and Diving] - From Columbus, OH
Chicago, Ill. -  Eric Grunden signs from Columbus, OH and will be studying Mechanical Engineering this Fall. His top events are the 100 Breaststroke and the 50 Free, where Bond believes Eric can immediately score points for the team at nationals . He was part of the 2009 Ohio state champion 200 Medley Relay for the St. Charles Cardinals that led the team to a 2nd place finish at the Ohio state championships. He contributed individually in the 50 Free and 100 Breast, scoring points in both. Coach Bond says, "Eric brings a wealth of championship experience to the team. With two Automatic All American and two Consideration All American performances to finish his career, I trust that Eric knows what it takes to compete at this level." Bond went on to say, "His experience with a great high school program will fit in perfectly with the winning attitude we expect from our athletes."
 
Matthew Rosenfeld
[Men's Swimming and Diving] - From Las Vegas, NV
Chicago, Ill. - Matthew Rosenfeld signs from Las Vegas, NV (Sierra Vista HS) and will be studying Aerospace Engineering beginning this fall. His top events are the 100 and 200 Backstroke, where Coach Bond expects he will be a national qualifier for the team in 2010. "Matthew shows a great deal of potential in the backstroke events and I believe he has the talent to be our school record holder before he graduates." says Bond. " This guy is a leader in and out of the pool and he fits the mold of the Illinois Tech student-athlete with a great deal of success in the classroom, too."
