CHICAGO, IL - Announced today by Head Coach Rusty Loyd, the Illinois Tech men's basketball program has received a signed National Letter of Intent from prospect Kevin Blackowicz from Mundelein, IL.

Blackowicz is a 5-11, guard that just completed his senior season at Mundelein High School in Mundelein, IL. This season Blackowicz averaged 8 points and 2 assists on a Mustangs team that went 18-12.

"Kevin is an extremely good outside shooter," Loyd said. "We hope that he can help bring more consistency to our perimeter shooting. In addition, we think he can play both guard positions which brings more versatility to our team" 

Blackowicz is the son of Steveand MaryAnn Blackowicz. After completing high school with a 3.9 GPA, he plans on pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Illinois Tech this fall.
