Ahmet Kose enters his second season as the head women’s soccer coach at Illinois Tech. In his first season at the helm, Kose helped the Scarlet Hawks improve the win total from the previous season, finishing with a 5-14-1 record in 2013. He also serves the department as a Sports Information Director.
Prior to Illinois Tech, Kose spent four seasons as the head women's coach at College of Saint Elizabeth in his home state of New Jersey. After inheriting a 3-13 squad in 2009, Kose helped the program gain relevance in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. While there, he also started up the lacrosse program at St. Elizabeth and was the head coach for 3 seasons. He coached seven different All-Conference players during his time at CSE.
As a player, Kose was a 4 year starter and First Team All-Conference player for DII East Stroudsburg University (ESU) from 1998-2001. In 2000, he helped lead his team to the DII Final Four and the team finished the season ranked number 3 in the country. In addition to being a 1st team All-Conference selection, Kose was also named the most valuable player in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs in 2001. He recently played with the Pocono Snow of the NPSL.
Kose received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from ESU in 2003. He then returned in 2009 and earned his Master’s in Sport Management. He is USSF licensed and has earned his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
Roshane Ellison will enter his first season as assistant coach for Illinois Tech women’s soccer. Ellison is a former Jamaican youth international who arrives in Chicago from Pennsylvania where he was a coach with both Keystone Athletic and FC Pocono soccer academies. Ellison boasts an extensive soccer resume, most recently playing for Pocono Snow FC and FC Sonic of Lehigh Valley in the National Premier Soccer league.
In his college playing days, Ellison was a four year starter, 4 time All-Conference, 2 time conference champion, 5 time conference player of the week, Regional player of year and an All-American at East Stroudsburg University of PA from 2005-2009.
Ellison received his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Business Management from East Stroudsburg University in 2010 and then went back to advance his studies while earning his Master’s degree in Management and Leadership in 2012.
