Illinois Tech men track athletes will open their season at "The Windy City Invitational", hosted by University of Chicago on Saturday, February 8th at 11:30am. UIC, Loyola University, Northwestern University, Chicago State, Elmhurst College and Concordia (IL) will be competing here. "It might be a late start for us, but I feel it was a good decision holding everybody back few a more weeks, so we can get proper training before opening the indoor season".
Chicagoland Indoor Championships are next up on Saturday, February 15th at North Central College.
The following week, Saturday February 22nd, Scarlet Hawks will be back at University of Chicago, for the Margaret Bradley Invite. "I am really targeting this meet, and hoping to see most of my athletes turn in good performances, and hopefully break some school records".
Carthage College will be the host for IIT's last indoor meet Friday, March 7th starting at 3:30PM. Most of Illinois and Wisconsin's NCAA Division III teams will be expected to compete at "The Gill Athletic Final Qualifier". A three weeks break will follow, where the Scarlet Hawks will prepare for the outdoor season.
The North Park University Invite is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th. "I've been looking for a smaller meet to start off our Outdoor season, and North Park Invite fits perfectly. A low key meet, on a new facility, where our people can race their way into shape."
The following Saturday, on April 5th our Scarlet Hawks will compete at University of Chicago's "Ted Hayden Invitational."
IIT's Men's track athletes will be aiming and expecting personal bests and school records on our next 2 meets. First with Concordia University's "Cougar Invite" Thursday, April 17th and then Benedictine University's Twilight Meet on Friday, April 25th.
