"This was exactly what we needed," said head coach Eric Bugby. "Grinnell is a great team, they have depth, but we needed to see and swim against that level of competition. This team will compete with the top teams in the NCAA very soon, so we will continue to put them on our schedule. As a team, we are continuing to improve. Each race is another chance to learn. Some people are putting it together. I was also pleased with the leadership on the deck. Being down big didn't discourage our team captains from fighting until the end and that attitude is contagious."
