It's November 1st and that means it's Movember. Movember encourages men to join the movement by growing a moustache for the 30 days of November. The Illinois Tech Men's Swimming & Diving program have chosen to participate. The men will start the month clean-shaven, then grow and groom their moustaches, asking friends and family to donate to their efforts. Our goal is to raise funds for and the education of others on men's health issues and to eventually include the entire men's swimming community (one Tech school at a time).
Please click here to donate to the Illinois Tech Swimming team: http://moteam.co/illinois-tech-swimming. All funds raised by the team will go to men's health programs that combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. These programs, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness and research to achieve our vision of an everlasting impact on the face of men's health. Full programs can be found here: http://us.movember.com/programs.
Every dollar matters and if you cannot donate please support the team by posting our link so others may donate. The men will take a team picture every week and post to Facebook and Twitter. Team members that are participating in Movember are seniors Ray Mohaimani and Felipe Bergh, junior team captain Billy Bafia, and sophomores Matthew Williams, Juan Soles, Stefan Nyholm, Tanner Grieve, Michael Dobben, and Kevin Boldt. Coach Eric will also take a daily picture and create a video flipbook (not that it will be worth viewing!).
