Elgin, IL – Illinois Tech volleyball team took it to Judson University Tuesday night on the road. The Hawks took the first, third and fourth deciding games to win (25-19, 12-25, 25-20, and 25-19).
Taylor Duman led the charge with 12 kills and denied 4 blocks for the Hawks. Freshmen Michelle Tadlock was the top percentage hitter with a .429 average and scored 7 kills in the contest for a personal best. Kate Kendall, Roma Mirutenko and Rebecca Wilson rounded out the attacking with 9, 8 and 8 kills respectively. Brittany Mead and Shea Manley were the keys on the defensive side as the two of them passed 26 of the 56 possible team digs. Manley finished the night with a double-double recording 23 assists along with her 10 digs.
Tech has now won two in a row and is looking to start a winning streak against another good match up on Friday against Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN).
The Hawks are now 7-9 on the season and next up is a Crossover road tournament hosted by Judson University over Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th.
