Chicago, Ill. - The Lady Scarlet Hawks increased their win streak to two games in a big non-conference game against NCAA Division II Urbana University on Saturday at Stuart Field.

The Scarlet Hawks used the momentum from their big win against Olivet Nazarene University on Wednesday to surprise the Blue Knights in a 1-0 victory. Illinois Tech battled through a physical match. The Urbana offense was completely shut down by a resilient defense that spurred the IIT women on to score. The winning goal came 25 minutes into the first half when a great through ball was played to Stephanie Salem by Erica Delgado. Salem took the ball to the goal line before crossing to Grace Durbin who finished the goal with a beautiful diving header. The game remained scoreless after the halftime mark, as both teams canceling each other out.

"This was a good win for us," said Coach Peacock. "We wanted to put back to back performances together, and we did that. Urbana is a very strong, physical, team that plays very direct. To shut them down and not allow any goals is pretty impressive."

The Lady Scarlet Hawks go for their third win in a row against CCAC powerhouse Trinity International University. Kickoff is at 7pm at Stuart Field.
