Winona Lake, Ind. - The Lady Scarlet Hawks suffered another loss on
the road against Grace
College on Tuesday
Illinois Tech women struggled to put in the ball in the back of the net for the
second game in a row. However, the
Scarlet Hawks continued to push through their difficulties and had a few shots
just miss off of the crossbar. Their hard work kept the game at a 0-0 tie at
second half, the game got much more physical with three yellow cards being
awarded. Two to Illinois Tech: one to Lauren Walters and another to Lauren
Wissman. One was given to Grace
Grace College scored early in the half, giving
them more momentum. The Scarlet Hawks finally picked up the intensity but Grace
scored second goal off a penalty kick. Illinois
Tech's Angela Skaar scored their lone goal off a free kick outside the 18-yard
box with 10 minutes remaining after a foul on Lauren Walters. The game ended in
a 2-1 loss for the Illinois Tech women.

Early in the second half we made two mistakes and gave them two goals,
giving ourselves a mountain to climb. We had some chances late in the game and
showed some character but we ran out of time. The two mistakes cost us."
Scarlet Hawks are back at home on Saturday night, hosting Northland Baptist
on Stuart Field.
