





The Hawks brush past Trinity Christian with a comfortable 4-0 home win
Chicago, IL - After the disappointment of Saturday's home forfeit loss, in which an administration mix up cost the Hawks an automatic 1-0 loss, the team returned to action again on Tuesday night with a comfortable conference opening win against Trinity Christian College.
The game started at a fast pace and the opening goal came as early as the 7th minute when Graeme Port raced onto a Diego Dias flick on, before slotting the ball past the outrushing Prins in the Trinity goal.
The goal was quickly added to when in the 21st minute the provider of the first Diego Dias headed a Rob Ritchie Smith cross into the net to make it 2-0.
Things then went from bad to worse for the visiting team when in the 26th minute Graeme Port converted a penalty kick to make the score 3-0, which was how the score would remain going into the half time break.
The second half was a tighter affair but the Hawks finished off the scoring in the 86th minute when Andrew Lichaj headed home another Rob Ritchie Smith cross to make the full time score 4-0 in the home teams favour.
The Hawks will be in action again this coming Saturday when they will host
