Head Coach Marc Colwell has announced that Mary McCabe has been named an assistant coach for Illinois Tech. McCabe was a four-year starter for the Scarlet Hawks and was the leading scorer and team Offensive MVP her senior season.

During the 2009 season, McCabe registered 9 goals and 4 assists while being named to the CCAC All-Conference team.

McCabe, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, attended La Cueva high school before coming to IIT in the summer of 2006.

She is currently working as a Solution Specialist for Baecore Group Inc. in Schaumburg, Illinois.

"Mary is very familiar with the girl's personalities and qualities on the pitch which will help me in the upcoming season. She was an accomplished student (Computer Science) and player here so it will be an easy transition to coaching for her," said Colwell.
