Chicago, Ill. - On Sunday, the Scarlet Hawks took on Lambuth University in the second game at the Martin Methodist tournament and were victorious, shutting out the Eagles by a score of 1-0.

Senior captain Erica Delgado, and Freshman Kay Durbin linked up well to provide Lauren Walters with a breakaway opportunity midway through the first half. Lauren rounded the keeper to collect her second goal of the season.

"It was a good win today," said Coach Peacock. "Lambuth are a good side. They were well organized and had some quality players. We started the game really well and maintained control for 90 minutes. We should have scored more but overall it was a good performance from us."

The women's soccer team travels this Saturday to Ohio to take on the University of Rio Grande.
