JOLIET, IL - The Illinois Tech Women's Volleyball team (18-18, 7-3) took on the Trinity International Trojans Friday night in the second match of the CCAC conference playoff tournament. The Hawks claimed the first two games of the match (25-21, 26-24) but the Trojans fought back and didn't let the Hawks win another game, allowing them to win the match (26-28, 23-25, 11-15).

Senior outside hitter Melissa Cheviron (Fort Wayne, IN) had 24 kills and 21 digs in the match. Sophomore middle blocker Kayla Heller (Dixon, IL) chipped in 11 kills while junior outside hitter Noelle Bennett (Belvidere, IL) had 9 kills. Senior setter Kiyomi Pyle (Tucson, AZ) had 49 set assists in the match while senior libero Aubrey Vanderheyden (Rockford, IL) added 22 defensive digs.

The Hawks will play St. Francis University tomorrow in the last playoff game. The Hawks need to win this match if they want to advance to the conference finals.
