







Chicago, IL- The Lady Hawks came out to play on Saturday and gave Judson a good game at their home field. The Hawks defeated JU 2-1.
The Lady Hawks had a strong start to the game. There were many shots on goal but both teams failed to get one in. With six minutes left in the first half, Freshman, Jessica Roberts made a great cross in the box from the right side and Junior, Megan Sarratt was at the back post to hit the ball into the back of the net. The score was 1-0 at half.
IIT kept the intensity up and continued to work hard. About fifteen minutes into the second half, a goal was scored by JU's Christina Thornton. The Hawks didn't give up. With eighteen minutes left to go, Megan Sarratt takes a corner kick for IIT and Freshman, Heather Bickerton made a run in the box and scored an excellent header. Despite Judson's many scoring opportunities in the second half, they were unable to put one in. IIT had several more opportunities and continued to play well.
It was an all around good game for the Lady Hawks and they pulled out with a 2-1 victory. The Hawks will play an important game on Tuesday, Oct. 27th, vs. Robert Morris at 7:00pm. GOOD LUCK HAWKS!!
