







Chicago, IL - The Illinois Tech men's soccer team were beaten Saturday afternoon in a close encounter with old foe Judson University.
The first half was scrappy as bother teams had to contend with the strong winds at Stuart Field. There were few clear-cut chances, with neither goalkeeper being troubled.
After the break it was the Eagles two took the initiative with a fine right-footed effort that found its way into the top corner, after fine play down the left flank.
The majority of the possession was with the Hawks as the team pressed for an equalizer and they were rewarded with 05:00 left in regulation, when freshman forward Liam Barrett angled a header towards goal which slipped through the gloves of the visiting ‘keeper to tie the game.
It was the Eagles who pounced next deep into double overtime when Rafa Heck converted a penalty kick after a foul in the box to end the contest.
The Hawks fall to 8-8 (4-4 CCAC) and entertain Robert Morris University at home this coming Wednesday.
