Chicago, IL. - The Women's Soccer team earned a hard fought 1-0 victory on Friday afternoon against a talented Davenport team.

The Hawks grabbed the only goal of an entertaining game in the second period of play when Stephanie Salem smashed a Kay Durbin delivery into the back of the visiting teams net. The Hawks defended resolutely throughout the contest with freshman goalkeeper Amy Arnhart comfortably stopping the three shots she faced.

The team will return to action tomorrow to play their second game of the year, a home contest against Union University.
