The Illinois Tech Women's Volleyball Team (10-12, 4-2) took on Buena Vista University (1-19) at the University of Chicago Tournament on Friday. The Lady Hawks had no problem defeating the Beavers in this three game match (25-16, 25-22, 25-15).

Senior outside hitter Melissa Cheviron (Fort Wayne, IN) led the Hawks with 12 kills while sophomore middle blocker Kayla Heller (Dixon, IL) chipped in 9 kills. Senior setter Kiyomi Pyle (Tucson, AZ) also had 23 set assists in the match.

The Hawks will take on North Central College for their second match of the Tournament.
