





CHICAGO, IL- The Lady Scarlet Hawks were defeated 0-2 by Olivet Nazarene University on Tuesday night.
The Hawks came out strong but let in a soft goal only three minutes into the game. IIT lost the ball in midfield and struggled to clear it, which lead to the first goal by ONU's Michelle Davis. IIT picked up the intensity and kept the score at 0-1 at halftime.
The Lady Hawks came out focused in the second half. Despite IIT's effort, Olivet's Devin Johnson scored the second goal of the game from a shot outside the box that hit the top cross bar and in. IIT didn't give up the fight with still twenty-three minutes left to play but couldn't earn many scoring opportunities the rest of second half. The score was kept at 0-2 by the end of the game.
The Lady Scarlet Hawks have their next conference game on Saturday, October 17th against Trinity Christian College. The game will be played at Trinity Christian's home field at 12pm.
