The Hawks carry on from their impressive midweek performance to power past Doane College 4-0

Chicago, IL - After Wednesday afternoon's commanding 5-0 victory over Viterbo University the Scarlet Hawks entered Sunday's encounter against Doane College looking for their second straight victory.

The Hawks took the lead in the 18^th minute when freshman midfielder Rob Ritchie-Smith audaciously lobbed the ball over a stranded Chris Kavinsky in the Doane College goal. The goal was a classy effort which was shortly followed by a second in the 38^th minute when good wing play from Ritchie-Smith led to an easy tap in for junior striker Diego Dias.

2-0 was the way the score stayed going into the half time break but the Hawks lead was soon extended. With just ten minutes of play in the second period Rob Ritchie-Smith latched onto a long ball from sophomore forward Graeme Port before rounding the goalkeeper to notch his second goal of the game.

The score stayed at three until the final minute of the game when freshman striker Dave Wilkinson pounced on a spilled shot to complete a comfortable victory for the Hawks.

The team will be in action again this coming Saturday at the 'Hawks Nest' as they host Northland Baptist University.

Kick off will be at 2pm.
