







Illinois Tech Loses
CHICAGO, IL - The Scarlet Hawks welcomed St. Francis Sunday for the rubber game of their weekend series. St. Francis was the first to score in the third inning taking a 3 run lead.
The Hawks cut the lead in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Jesse Stepniewski (Skokie, IL). The Saints scored twice more in the fifth inning taking a 5-1 lead. The Hawks again scored in their bottom half the inning on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Guglielmo (Castroville, CA) to deep center field. Illinois Tech threatened again in the sixth inning as they scored two runs highlighted by a RBI sacrifice fly by Ryan Bouck (Mokena, IL). Unfortunately St. Francis was able to score a few insurance runs as they won the game 7-4. Ryan Bouck and Jesse Stepniewski led the Hawks offensively going 2 for 3 and 3 for 4 respectively. Louis Montoya, Patrick O'Brien, and Jesse Stepniewski threw for the Hawks combining for 3 strikeouts and 9 hits. The Hawks will play this Wednesday where they will take on Calumet College of St. Joseph's in their last conference series of the year.
