





Hawks Win Game 2
CHICAGO, IL - After winning game one, the Hawks were able to take an early lead again in the second game as they scored a run in the 2nd inning on a throwing error by Calumet's catcher. The offense continued in the third inning.
Lorne Turrentine (Chicago, IL) started the inning with a leadoff double. Dustin Reznicek (Willowbrook, IL) followed suit with a double of his own scoring a run. After Reznicek advanced to third on a passed ball, catcher Kyle Guglielmo (Castroville, CA) drove him in on a sacrifice fly to deep left field. With one runner on, Andy Kungis (Palos Heights, IL) homered to deep left field that cleared the flagpole. After all was said and done the Hawks led the game 5-0. Calumet battled back in the top of the fourth inning with 2 runs of their own. The Hawks took the 5-2 lead into the fifth inning where they added another insurance run on a Bill O'Toole (Evergreen Park, IL) RBI single. Andy Kungis led the Hawks offensively as he went 2 for 3 on the day with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Junior James Dodgen (Flagstaff, AZ) threw another complete game only relinquishing 4 hits and striking out 10 batters. The Hawks will look to complete the series sweep tomorrow when they play at Calumet in Gary, IN marking the last CCAC conference game of the year.
