Hawks Lose to PNC

WESTVILLE, IN - Illinois Tech traveled to Indiana Tuesday to play rival Purdue North Central in a mid-week double header. PNC jumped out to a 5 run lead in the third inning.

After the Hawks scored twice in the fifth inning after Bill O'Toole (Evergreen Park, IL) led off the inning with a double. The Hawks struggled to get their offense going though as they were not able to score again as the game ended in a 10-2 loss. Patrick O'Brien (Niles, IL) started the game for the Hawks going 4 innings striking out 3. Sean Irish (St. Louis, MO) came in relief striking out 2 of his own in the 2 innings he pitched.  The Hawks will complete the double header later on today.
