







Hawks Drop Game 2 of Double Header
ELGIN, IL - The Men's Baseball Team looked to finish up the weekend series with Judson University this afternoon. Judson took a 1 run lead in the bottom half of the second inning. The Hawks answered back though in the top of the third, on a Tom Hotz (Cedar Rapids, IA) RBI scoring Brian Sklena (Skokie, IL).
Illinois Tech was able to take a 1 run lead in the top half of the fourth inning with Andy Kungis (Palos Heights, IL) scoring after a leadoff triple. Judson though retook the lead after scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth. Judson took a 5-2 lead into the sixth where Illinois Tech was able to put another run on the board on a Bill O'Toole (Evergreen Park, IL) RBI. Judson though was able to hold onto the lead winning the game 5-3. Offensive leaders for the Hawks were O'Toole going 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's and Sklena going 1 for 3 with a run scored. James Dodgen (Flagstaff, AZ) started the game for the Hawks going 4 1/3 innings with 3 strikeouts. Nick Wise (Mendota, IL) came in the game in relief throwing 1 2/3 innings without giving up a run. The Hawks are now 6-6 in the CCAC. They will pick back up with conference play this Tuesday in Westville, IN taking on Purdue North Central in a mid-week double header.
