Hawks Lose By 1

ELGIN, IL - The Scarlet Hawks resumed the weekend series this afternoon in Elgin. The Hawks jumped out to an early 2 run lead in the second inning on RBI's by Brain Sklena (Skokie, IL) and Ryan Bouck (Mokena, IL). The Eagles answered back in the bottom half of the inning with a run of there own.


Judson tied the game in the third inning. The Hawks answered back in the fourth inning adding another run on another single by Bouck. Judson University was able to score a run in each of the following innings to take a 4-3 lead which ended up being the final score. Offensively the Hawks were led by Bill O'Toole (Evergreen Park, IL) going 2 for 4 with a run scored and Jesse Stepniewski (Skokie, IL) went 2 for 3 scoring twice. Branden Schombert (Lockridge, IA) started the game for the Hawks going 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs. With the loss the Hawks dropped to 6-5 in conference with the loss and will finish up the series later on this afternoon.
