Scarlet Hawks Drop Game 2

MAYFIELD, KY - The Men's Baseball Team entered game 2 of the Friday double-header looking to carry the momentum of game 1 with them. Starter James Dodgen (Flagstaff, AZ) was able to go 4 and 1/3 innings striking out 6 and giving up only 1 earned run.


Offensively the Hawks were led by catcher Eddie Morales (Chicago, IL) who went 2 for 3. The Hawks were only able to put up 1 run though in the losing effort as 2 costly errors ended up leading to 2 unearned runs. Thomas Hotz (Cedar Rapids, IA) threw 1 and 2/3 innings striking out 2 and not giving up a run. The final score of the game was 3 - 1 in favor of the Cougars. The Hawks will pick up play tomorrow at noon with games 3 and 4 of the 4 game series.
