Illinois Tech Drops Series to Lee
CLEVELAND, TN - After a tough first game of the Saturday double header, the Hawks looked to bounce back in game 2. Unfortunately for the Hawks both games finished in similar fashion.
With Jesse Stepniewski (Skokie, IL) having to leave the game in the first inning, the burden of dealing with the high powered offense was left to two freshman pitchers. The Flames had another strong left-hander in Matthew Gilson, who threw a complete game. With the offensive struggles continuing from game one, the Scarlet Hawks were outmatched. With the conclusion of the series the Hawks have 2 weeks off before heading to Mayfield, KY for a 4-game series with Mid-Continent University. Illinois Tech is scheduled to play double headers on both Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th.
