Illinois Tech Unable to Take Down SXU
CHICAGO, IL - After a tough home stand, the Hawks went back on the road Wednesday night to take on the Saint Xavier Cougars.
The Southside rival was able to hold on to a 28 - 25 lead going into the half. The usual combination of Kyle Corbin (Tipp City, OH) and Rob Knapczyk (Justice, IL) yet again led the Scarlet Hawks offensively. Knapczyk led all scorers with 15 points shooting 3 for 5 form 3 point range. He also had 7 rebounds. Corbin contributed with 10 points and 4 steals. Despite the efforts of Scarlet Hawks, they were unable to leave with a victory dropping the game 64 - 51. The Hawks look to end the current slide against East-West University this Saturday night. Currently the Hawks sit in 5th place in the Division 1 CCAC Standings.
