Hawks Lose Season Opener

CLEVELAND, TN - The Scarlet Hawk Baseball Team lost their season opener 1-0 to #2 nationally ranked Lee University.

The Flames of Lee University scored 1 run in the first inning which proved to be enough. Branden Schombert (Lockridge, IA) only relinquished 3 hits with 4 strikeouts and throwing a complete game in is first outing of the year. Both teams struggled offensively in their first time outside. The Hawks were held to only 3 hits. The Hawks will continue the 4 game series later on today.
