Hawks Lose to Strong CSU Team

MILWAUKEE, WI - After competing in the Marion Invitational Tournament the Hawks continued their travels to Wisconsin to take on rival Cardinal Stritch University. The Hawks battled the entire game in an effort to get a much needed road victory.

The Hawks were in good form in the opening exchanges, entering half time with a deficit of only 14 points. This gap was to be shortened further with a fine second half performance, which could have easily ended in a victory for the Chicago Team.

Freshman Kyle Corbin (Tipp City, OH) was again at the heart of the Hawks attack with an impressive 20 points scored in his 34 minutes played. Rob Knapczyk (Justice, IL) and Matt McKinley (Los Gatos, CA) scored 11 and 10 points respectively with McKinley adding an impressive 7 rebounds. The final score ended 71-83 in favor of the home team

With the loss the hawks now fall to 3-6 overall. Illinois Tech Continues its grueling road trip at U.W. Parkside. Next up for the Hawks is the University of North Dakota in the U.W. Parkside tournament.
