The Lady Hawks strong second half performance isn't enough to see them past a powerful ONU side

Chicago, IL. - The Hawks lost their sixth conference game on Tuesday night despite turning in a much improved second half performance against Olivet Nazarene University.

The match was all but lost for the Hawks in the first period of play. The visiting team open up a 22 point gap going into the half time break. However, a spirited second half performance saw both teams trade 33 points apiece. The Lady Hawks stopped Olivet from opening up an even bigger winning margin to see the match finish 82-60.

Stand out performers for the Hawks on the night were undoubtedly Jackie Puschkar, who scored a team high 15 points, and Valerie Zulevic, who put her recent injury problems behind her to score an impressive 12 points coming off the bench.

With the loss the Hawks overall record now drops to 7-17 whilst their CCAC record falling to 0-6.

The ladies will be back in action again this coming Saturday when the team travels to play Indiana University - South Bend in their seventh conference game of the year.
